2022 Day 2 – KK County Track & Field
The second day of the Kilkenny County 2022 Track & Field championships took place at the Watershed on Wednesday. This time it was the turn of the academy athletes, from U8 to U10, eager to put all this training to the test. May Timmons took home 3 golds and a silver, just followed by Abigail hunt who won 3 silver medals. In the boys, our two Ted’s won 5 medals with Ted Kelsey winning 1 gold, and 2 silvers, while Ted Duff won two sprint golds to keep big sister Rachel in check. Sean Carroll picked up 3 medals, while Daniel Carroll and Tommy Carrigan also double medaled.
In the seniors Gowran AC won two of the three podium places with Dean second and Niall third. While John Coady ran a great race to win the 35’s.
